Instagrammable places in Savannah Fountain

Over 150 years old, this French style fountain has been well preserved making it a popular photo spot.

That being said, the best time to visit is during the weekdays since there are less people around to walk through your shot.

If you’re looking to capture the perfect lighting, visiting during sunrise or sunset will let you take advantage of “golden hour.”

Fun Fact: During the week before St. Patrick’s Day, you can attend the Greening of the Fountain Ceremony. The fountain water is turned green in celebration of Savannah’s deep Irish heritage.

4. Mansion on Forsyth Park

7. Rainbow Row

Rainbow Row Houses Savannah

Located one block from River Street, on E. Bryan St, you’ll find a row of three pastel houses that are both elegant and eye-catching.

With only three houses, it’s not as big as the Rainbow Row in Charleston, SC or as extravagant as the Rainbow Row in London. However, it’s still a place you won’t want to miss when in Savannah.

People are currently living in these homes, so please be mindful of that when taking pictures for the gram. If you’re lucky enough there won’t be any cars parked out front which will give you a perfect view of the home’s colorful exteriors.

8. The Paris Market

The Paris Market Cafe

Let your followers think you’ve taken a trip to Paris when you post pictures of this charming Parisian inspired café to your Instagram feed.

Their menu includes a nice selection of coffees along with delicious pastries and French inspired desserts.

This dessert restaurant is definitely a hidden gem I wasn’t expecting to find while in Savannah.

As the name suggests, this is not a place for children. But this is a great place to go for a date night with your significant other or a bachelorette party with your girls.

Every dessert and drink on their menu has a fun and sexy name. My dessert was called “Fever” and my boyfriend ordered the “Between My Red Velvet Sheets Cheesecake.”

If you’re like me, you’ll want to order one of everything. Not only is the food absolutely “picture worthy,” but it’ll surely make for some interesting conversations with your friends and followers.

With how rich everything is, make sure to ask your waitress for a glass of water. After you get done indulging you’ll need it, 😉

11. Haunted Savannah Tours

Bonaventure Cemetery in Black and White

If you’re intrigued by the supernatural, I recommend going on a ghost tour during your visit.

Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia and is renowned for being the most haunted city in America.

It’s no secret that there are many different ghost tours to choose from in Savannah, but Haunted Savannah Tours has been top rated for the past 8 consecutive years.

During the tour, you’ll be taken to the most active locations around Savannah that are known for having paranormal events take place. Also, you’ll hear spooky ghost stories along your journey.

Not only will you get to see a different side of Savannah, but maybe you’ll capture an orb or better yet a full bodied apparition. That would be so cool!

12. City Market

Pictured above are their chipotle chicken tacos and queso blanco with chips. Both dishes were not only delicious but they also made for an instagrammable photo!

If you’re looking for something fun to do on the weekend, this is the place to be.

You can jam out to the live music playing on Friday and then return for their “Fire & Wine Saturdays.” All bottles of wine are half off for the event, and if you aren’t a wine drinker you can treat yourself to a s’mores kit to enjoy by the fire pit.

Both events take place from 6pm – 9pm weekly. But things can change so make sure you double check their website before going.

14. The Gingerbread House

The Gingerbread House

Located just next door to Foxy Loxy is the famous Gingerbread House built in 1899.

You’ll find a ton of instagrammable spots while you’re there. One in particular is the adorable butterfly shaped benches which are located in the back of the garden.

16. Wormsloe Historic Site

Wormsloe Historic Sight

If you know anything about Savannah you’ve most likely heard of the Wormsloe Historic Site.

The driveway leading up to the old plantation is 1.5 miles long (one way) and lined with over 400 live oak trees.

You can choose to either drive or walk. I would highly recommend walking because the experience alone is something you can’t get in a car, maybe if you drive a convertible

You’ll be surprised by all the different perspectives yet to be captured at Wormsloe.

Lastly, an added tip from my experience. If you decide to walk, make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes or pack a pair that you can change into if needed. I wish I did!

17. Bonaventure Cemetery

Spanning 160 acres, this famous historic cemetery should certainly be on your list of instagrammable places to visit in Savannah, Georgia.
